Full Day Snowshoe Trek to Gaupekollen (Lynx mountain)
When in Norway make sure to step outside and experience the beautiful nature that surrounds Oslo. What better way to do so that than with a full day snowshoe adventure into the heart of the Nordmarka forest? This is the perfect trip for those who have used snowshoes before and love long treks off the beaten path.
We will use private transportation to travel from the city center to the starting point of our adventure. From there, we’ll gradually make our way uphill through the beautiful Mellomkollen Nature Reserve, trekking about 4 kilometers to the summit of Gaupekollen (Lynx Hill). As you ascend, immerse yourself in the pristine winter landscape, with panoramic views of the sparkling lake and Oslo city below.
Weather permitting, we’ll take a well-deserved break to light a cozy campfire, where you can savor grilled sausages and warm up with a steaming cup of delicious hot chocolate, the perfect way to recharge before continuing our journey. After the fire we will descend back to the trailhead and head back to civilization.
This is more than just a snowshoeing experience—it’s a peaceful winter escape, combining the thrill of the trek with the serene beauty of Norway’s nature.
